The new Grey Tiger, a Eurofighter of the Austrian Air Force, was creatively designed internally by members of the Austrian Armed Forces, namely Staff Sergeant Christian Erhart and Lieutenant Colonel Michael Kirchner. Christian Erhart is a military aircraft technician in Zeltweg and also works as an airbrush artist. Michael Kirchner works in the surveillance squadron. The artwork for the new Tiger was applied to paper using airbrush technology and scanned for further optimization and data preparation. The wrapping was carried out by Hamm-Werbung, a company specializing in complex wrapping and printing projects.
Eurofighter “Typhoon”
The EUROFIGHTER “Typhoon” is a fourth-generation multi-role combat aircraft developed by Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain in joint production. The first units were delivered to the Bundeswehr in 2003. In addition to the air forces of the four European manufacturing nations, users of the aircraft include the air forces of Austria and the four Arab Gulf states of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman.
With the EUROFIGHTER, the Austrian Armed Forces have one of the most modern weapon systems of the present day. The Interceptors will form the backbone of airspace surveillance in the coming years.
