A safe experience is a great experience

Safety first. Both in the air and on the ground. This also applies to AIRPOWER24.

AIRPOWER24’s gates are open to all visitors who respect the event site’s rules.

Which rules apply at AIRPOWER24?

AIRPOWER24’s rules are simpler than the rules for operational pilots. Above all, no objects may be brought that could be thrown or fired or which could otherwise disturb or endanger the peace, order, and security of the event site.

General rules:

  • Person and baggage checks are carried out.
  • Persons clearly under the influence of alcohol/addictive substances will not be admitted.
  • The event site is under video surveillance. In addition, video, audio, and image recordings will be made for and during the event.
    • By participating in the event, you give your consent for this information to be published by the organiser, its partners, and participating media.
  • Instructions given by the stewarding service/security staff/law enforcement must be followed.

Particular attention is paid to this when checking people and baggage:

Most of this is common sense. In the interest of clarity, however, the most important points are summarised here.
The following items may not be taken to AIRPOWER24:

  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and imitations of the aforementioned items (regardless of whether a weapons possession card/weapons pass is held);
  • Objects that could be used as weapons (especially knives, sticks, canes, chains, pepper spray, selfie sticks over 50cm, etc.);
  • Laser pointers
  • Pyrotechnic articles
  • Air or party horns
  • Parasols and sun loungers
  • Ladders
  • Drugs and narcotics
  • Balaclavas
  • Glass bottles and glasses
  • Beach shells, tents, and similar
  • Flying objects of all kinds
    • incl. model aircraft, drones, balloons, etc.
  • Radio devices and radio remote controls of all kinds
  • Objects with advertising, commercial, racist, right-wing extremist, sexist, homophobic, provocative, irreverent, religious, or political imprints and those that are likely to impair the reputation of the event (e.g. banners, signs, flyers, flags, symbols).
  • Knives of all kinds (including snack knives).
  • Pets or other animals
    • Please do not leave any animals in vehicles.
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and similar.
  • Handcarts
  • Hard-shell cool packs,
    • only those that are soft after melting

Persons carrying prohibited items will be escorted from the site and barred from entering the venue with these items.

For security reasons, no lockers or other storage devices can be provided.

      • exceptions to this are FFP2 masks, which may be worn.

We recommend:

  • Do not carry backpacks or other bulky objects around all day.
  • Come to Zeltweg by public transport. Take advantage of the parking facilities in Kraubath and Fisching, from where free shuttles will take you to Zeltweg. You can find more information here.
  • Please do not forget to use sunscreen and ensure you stay hydrated throughout the event.
  • Consider hearing protection, especially for children. Flight events are noisy. We strongly recommend the use of hearing protection. You can buy earplugs at the AIRPOWER24 site.
  • If you are coming to the event with small children, we strongly advise you to bring ear protection due to the noise level. It is permitted to bring a pushchair – exclusively for transporting a child – but is not recommended due to the grassy terrain and the extensive checks at the entrance.

Always pay attention to loudspeaker announcements and notice boards. Instructions from security personnel must be fully followed.

We would like to point out that all legal and official regulations and directives apply and must be complied with.

If everyone respects the rules, AIRPOWER24 is sure to be a party for everyone involved.

Please help by informing security staff* immediately if

  • you notice something disturbing,
  • seems a little strange to you,
  • could affect the security of the event.

(*) these include military guards, military police, police, fire brigade, and medical centres.

We ask for your understanding that access to AIRPOWER24 with prohibited items or when the area is overcrowded is not possible for safety reasons.

The list of prohibited items is regularly reviewed and expanded. Therefore, please visit this page again for the latest information before the event. (Last updated: 3rd September 2024)
